LITURGY NEWS |

BRING
CANNED FOOD AT THE THANKSGIVING LITURGIES.
Celebrate Thanksgiving at Redeemer. Invite your family
members, friends and neighbors to the Lord’s House.
“God’s People Pray” as they thanks to Him who gives us
all good things, including the forgiveness of sin, life
and salvation in the Lord’s Supper. The Liturgies are
on
Wednesday, November 26 at 7:30PM
Thursday, November 27 at 10AM
Bring canned food to share with those who are
hungry in our neighborhood. Please make sure that the
cans are not dented or damaged. Also, please check the
expiration dates on the cans so that they can be
consumed. Please do not bring food in boxes or bags;
only bring food that is canned. We shall present the
food during the offering on Thanksgiving Eve and
Thanksgiving Day.
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS. This year, the Property Board
has decided to create a Christmas Flower Fund that will
be used to put flowers in the sanctuary. With our newly
renovated space, the desire is to have floral pieces
that accent the beauty of our worship space.
Contributions of $10 or more will help fund this
project. Donations may be made in memory of people or
in thanksgiving for people or things. The deadline for
your contribution is December 14. Please mark your
check and envelope “Christmas Flower Fund” with a note
indicating the memory or thanksgiving you desire.
CHRISTMAS NON-FLORAL DONATIONS. As we are
“Witnessing the Living Christ,” we may also make special
Christmas donations to Redeemer that are not for
Christmas flowers. Simply indicate in whose memory or
for what the gift is in thanksgiving so that it may be
listed as well. As always, you may always choose to
give the gift anonymously. The deadline for these gifts
is December 14.
LET THE CHILDREN COME. Redeemer remembers
what Jesus says in St. Matthew 18:13-16, “Let the
children come.” To make it more convenient for the
little ones among us to come, Redeemer is providing
backpacks filled with items that we hope will capture
and hold their attention during the Liturgy.
The yellow backpacks are designated for children who are
2 and 3 years old, and the green ones are for children 4
and 5 years old. The backpacks are located under
the Usher Shelf in the narthex. The contents
of the backpacks are to be placed back into the
backpacks after the Liturgy when the backpacks are
returned to the area under the Usher Shelf. The
contents of the bags are periodically changed, so be
sure to check them regularly. Also, if there are
suggestions about things that could be included in the
bags, please speak with Dr. LuJuana Butts.
Additionally, booster seats are available so that
children may be able to see what is happening during the
Liturgy. Thank you to Dr. LuJuana Butts for
facilitating this project.
REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS AND ALL SERVING IN
THE WAR.
ANOINTING WITH OIL FOR HEALING. After the
Liturgies on the following days, the anointing with oil
and the laying on of hands for healing will occur - December 6-7.

the Lord for direction on what you will give for this
project. If you have any questions, please speak with
Tora Cardarelli or Rosa Figueroa.
WE CONTINUE TO COLLECT BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION for
